A hard-fought victory for Railway Police Line Boys, Hockey Lovers

Pune 27 Jan 2023 – Bharat Ratna Dr. In the Babasaheb Ambedak Memorial Invitational Hockey Tournament on Tuesday, the Railway Police Line Boys and Hockey Lovers teams started their campaign with a hard-fought victory. The Railway Police Line Boys team repelled the challenge of Excellency Academy 4-3 in the match at the Major Dhyan Chand Ground in Nehrunagar. Uday Baramatikar opened the account for the line boys in the 16th minute. However, after only two minutes, Aryan Shedge equalized for the Excellency team.

After a 1-1 draw at the interval, Roshan Musale put the line boys back in front in the 33rd minute. But, Sujal Mamunkar scored in the 42nd minute to bring the Excellency team back to level. After that, Omkar Musale’s play proved to be decisive for the line boys, who were playing fast. Omkar put the Line Boys team ahead for the third time in the 38th minute. After two minutes Omkar scored another goal to strengthen the lead of the line boys. After that there were several attempts to score by the Excellency team. But, they could score only one goal. Manoj Randhawa scored this goal in the 49th minute. Hockey Lovers won 3-2 in the match between Kumar group teams Hockey Lovers Sports Club and Khadki Hockey Akademi.

Shlok Garge opened the account for Hockey Lovers in the 11th minute. Later, in the 20th minute, Nizam Shaikh brought the Khadki team equal. After a 1-1 draw in the first half, Angir Manthan took the lead for Hockey Lovers in the 35th minute with a penalty corner. Of course, this time too their happiness did not last long. Khadki team’s Akshay Bhosle leveled the match once again in the 39th minute. In the last session of the match, Swapnil Garsund scored a goal in the 54th minute to ensure the victory of the hockey lovers.
