A record worthy of the captaincy of Mumbai! Only two have achieved ‘this’ performance in IPL

A win on Sunday (May 21) was crucial if Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians were to secure a place in the playoffs. Rohit showed his stormy innings at the team’s time of need. Rohit completed his half century in just 31 runs. Also completed his 5000 runs for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians were set a target of 201 runs by Sunrisers Hyderabad to win this match. Rohit Sharma was caught after scoring 56 runs off 37 balls. But in the meantime, he added to the special list in IPL history. Rohit Sharma has become only the second batsman to score 5000 runs from an IPL team. Earlier this performance was done by the former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli has been the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore for a long time. Currently, Rohit is representing RCB as a batsman. Rohit is the captain of Mumbai Indians. Under Rohit’s leadership, Mumbai Indians became the team to win the most IPL trophies with five.

Rohit completed 5000 runs for the Mumbai franchise with his half-century against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday (May 21). He has become the second bowler after Virat Kohli to do so for a team in the IPL. Virat has scored a total of 7162 runs for RCB. (Rohit Sharma scored 5000 runs for Mumbai Indians.)
