Praveen Kumar’s car met with an accident in Meerut on Tuesday (July 5) late night. The accident took place near the Meerut Commissioner’s house and Praveen’s car was hit by a big truck. As this truck was speeding, Praveen’s Land Rover (Range Rover) was badly damaged. But the two people in the car were not injured. After the accident, a crowd gathered at the spot and the driver was also arrested by the police.

Briefing the media about the accident, Praveen Kumar said, “This accident could have been worse. But thank God we are safe. I went to rescue my nephew. That’s when a big truck hit the car from behind around 9.30 pm. We survived because the car was big. At first I thought the bumper might be broken, but the car is badly damaged.”

Meanwhile, after the accident, police personnel from Civil Lines Police Station immediately reached the spot. SP Piyush Kumar informed about this, “The truck driver has been arrested and sent to the police station.” According to SP information, Praveen Kumar and his son are safe. According to the information, the truck driver was responsible for the accident and had violated the traffic rules. Earlier in 2007 too, Praveen Kumar was a victim of an accident. At that time, the fast bowler had come out of an open jeep.
