After Virat-Rohit Harman! A new milestone in T20 career

Currently, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is being played in South Africa. The Indian team took to the field against Ireland in their final league match on Monday (February 20). It was a memorable match for Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur. She became the first Indian to play 150 matches in T20 Internationals. Along with this, she also completed 3000 runs in T20Is in this very important match.

When Harmanpreet took to the field in this match, she stepped into her 150th T20 International match. She became the first cricketer to achieve such feat in women’s cricket. Also, she completed 150 T20 matches for the Indian women’s and men’s teams. However, along with that, she recorded another record in her name.

Harman crossed the 3000 T20I run mark with his seventh run in this match. She became the first Indian woman and the third overall batsman to achieve this feat. In men’s cricket, Virat Kohli has 4008 runs in 115 matches, while Indian captain Rohit Sharma has scored 3853 runs so far. In women’s cricket, New Zealand’s Suzy Bates, Australia’s Meg Lanning and West Indies’ Stephanie Taylor have crossed the 3000-run mark before her.

For Harmanpreet Kaur, this match was not so memorable as a batsman. She could only score 13 runs. She has scored 3,005 runs in her T20 career so far. Meanwhile, her average is 27.83, while the strike rate is 105.7. She is the first Indian woman to score a century in International Women’s T20. Also, the women’s T20 is seen leading India for the second time.
