Agarkar is also said to have left the post to take up the role of India’s selection committee chairman. Meanwhile, Ajit Agarkar had earlier applied and given an interview to become the chief selector of the Indian team in 2021 itself. But at that time Chetan Sharma got this responsibility. This time too, Agarkar seems interested in this post. According to media reports, the BCCI may also increase the chief selector’s salary for Agarkar. Currently, the annual salary of a person working in this position is one crore. If Agarkar takes up the responsibility, the salary may be increased. Also, the salary of other members of the selection committee may also have to be increased from 90 lakhs.

Agarkar certainly makes more money as an assistant coach and commentator for Delhi Capitals. So BCCI can take a decision on this. On the other hand, Ravi Shastri is also seen criticizing again after leaving the post of India’s head coach. The earnings of the scribes may also be higher than the salary of the chief sleepers.
