Ajinkya Rahane gets support from ‘Ya’ people in tough times, veteran emotional due to comeback in Indian team

Indian team’s experienced Test batsman Ajinkya Rahane will once again prove his quality. Rahane has got a chance in the Indian team for the final match of the World Test Championship. This match between India and Australia will be played from 7th to 11th June at The Oval Stadium in England. Earlier in an interview, Rahane spoke about his international comeback.

Ajinkya Rahane has not been playing in international cricket for a long time. He last played an international match against South Africa in January 2022. Rahane played his last match in ODI and T20 international cricket in 2016 and 2018 respectively. Ajinkya Rahane recently gave an interview for BCCI. His return to the Indian team was an emotional one for him. The BCCI shared the video, in which Rahane says, “It’s really special for me to play again with the Indian team after about 18-19 months. During this difficult time, my relatives supported Ma. Playing for the Indian team is still my dream.”

Speaking further, Rahane also praised the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma. He said, “Rohit has performed the role of captain of the team really well. Everyone is contributing in their own way. Rohit and (KL) Rahul are managing the team very well.” Meanwhile, this year, the Indian team has got an opportunity in the final match of the World Test Championship for the second time in a row. India is facing a strong Australian team in the final match. In the last WTC final, Barata faced New Zealand and the team accepted the defeat.
