India’s veteran batsman Ajinkya Rahane created a tower of records by hitting a half-century against Australia in the WTC final on Friday (June 09). Rahane became the first Indian to score a half-century in a WTC final. He also set another record. He became the 13th Indian batsman of the Indian team to achieve such a record. He joined the list of legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Kapil Dev.
Ajinkya Rahane (Ajinkya Rahane) hit the last ball of the 46th over for a six. He then took 2 off Cameron Green’s last no-ball in the 55th over to finish with 69 runs. As soon as he completed these runs, he created a special record in Test cricket. He crossed the 5000-run mark in his Test career.
Rahane became the 13th player for India to score 5000 runs in Tests. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Dilip Vengsarkar, Cheteshwar Pujara, Mohammad Azharuddin, Gundappa Vishwanath and Kapil Dev have completed 5000 runs in Tests.
