Angered by the manner of Gill-Pujara’s dismissal, Shastri said in harsh terms…

Cheteshwar Pujara is very disappointed with the way he was dismissed in the World Test Championship final against Australia. On the second day of the match, Pujara was bowled while attempting to release the ball from Cameron Green. Pujara expected the ball to fall on his line and go to the keeper. However, he did not cover the line of the ball and it was this mistake that cost him dearly. After the ball hit, it came in and hit the off-stump. After the dismissal, Pujara’s face was visibly disappointed.

Meanwhile, during the match, Shubman Gill also (Shubman Gill) was dismissed trying to release the ball. His ball also hit the off stump. However, like Pujara (Cheteshwar Pujara) Ravi Shastri commented that the experienced batsman should have tackled this ball in a better way. At this point Shastri says, “Pujara should have covered the line of the ball.” Shastri further said, “Shubman Gill will learn but Cheteshwar Pujara should be disappointed with his dismissal like this. His front leg should have been at least a foot forward and then beyond.”

The Indian team is in trouble
After the end of the second day’s play, the Indian team is in trouble. In reply to Australia’s 469 in the first innings, India scored 151 for 5 by the end of the second day’s play. The Indian top order could not survive against the Australian bowling. None of the leading 4 batsmen reached the 20-run mark. Ravindra Jadeja gave the innings some support with 48 but was dismissed by offspinner Nathan Lyon before the end of the day’s play.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored a lot of runs for Sussex in county cricket. His batting average was 91. So, he made a comeback in the Indian Test team on this strength. Pujara hasn’t been able to do much since his comeback. After losing the first two wickets, the Indian team was in trouble, so an experienced batsman like Pujara was expected to play on the wicket. But Pujara, who is called the wall of the Indian batting order, could not play a big innings. After his dismissal, the position of the Indian team weakened.

Now Rahane-Bharat will have to show their strength on the third day

On the third day of the World Test Championship final on Friday (June 9), the Indian team will start the game 151 runs behind after losing 5 wickets in the first innings. India need 318 more runs to win. Ajinkya Rahane (29) and KS Bharat (5) will start for India on Day 3. Now, if the Indian team wants to hold on to this match, Rahane and Bharat will have to play a big knock on the third day of the match.
