Another condition of PCB before BCCI for World Cup! A written guarantee sought for ‘this’

Pakistan Cricket Board President Najam Sethi has now placed a new condition before the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The two boards have been discussing the upcoming ODI World Cup for the past year. The PCB expects the Indian team to participate in the Asia Cup in Pakistan before the World Cup. However, BCCI has categorically denied this. If the Indian team does not come to Pakistan, the PCB has threatened that Pakistan too will not come for the World Cup. However, he later withdrew and decided to play India’s matches in the Asia Cup in the UAE.

Now PCB has put another condition in this case. According to media reports, Najam Sethi will seek a written guarantee from the BCCI regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy at the Asian Cricket Council meeting. The PCB will demand that the Indian team come to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

It will be important to see how BCCI reacts to this demand. If the Indian team does not participate in the Champions Trophy, the chances of the tournament are also slim. After 2007, the Indian team has never played in Pakistan. So, no bilateral series has been played between India and Pakistan since 2013.
