Delhi Capitals’ opening batsman Prithvi Shaw failed once again. Prithvi Shaw has been seen struggling to make a big run from the last with IPL 2023. He lost his wicket against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday (April 15). Anuj Rawat, who came into the field as an impact player, made a powerful throw and dismissed Shaw in the first over.
Delhi were set a target of 175 runs in 20 overs to win against RCB. Prithvi Shaw and captain David Warner came to the field to open the innings for Delhi. Mohammad Siraj came in to bowl the first over of Delhi’s innings. On the second ball of the over, Warner, who was on strike, took a run and Prithvi Shaw came on strike. The fourth ball of the over was played by Shaw towards covers, which looked like it would go outside the 30 yard circle.
However, Anuj Rawat, who was standing there, showed agility and blocked this ball by making an incredible dive. Anuj did not stop there. The moment he picked up the ball, he stood up and bowled it on a non-strike. Anuj’s throw was accurate and it hit the stumps before Shaw reached inside the crease. Meanwhile, considering the overall score of this match between the two teams, RCB scored 174 runs for 6 when batting first. In reply, Delhi Capitals managed to reach 151 for 9 in 20 overs.
