The Board of Control for Cricket in India is gearing up to shape the Indian team of the future. Every year the team gets young and talented players from the Indian Premier League. But still BCCI is planning another strategy. The board has selected 20 all-rounders from across the country and is looking to recruit more of them. Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar is also included in these 20 players.
In Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023), Arjun Tendulkar was seen playing for Mumbai Indians. After two years of waiting, he now got a chance to play in the IPL. But after the first few matches of the season, Arjun was left out of the playing eleven. However, BCCI seems convinced of Arjun’s quality. Against this backdrop, BCCI also gave him a chance among the 20 all-rounders selected from across the country. According to information, the Emerging Asia Cup (Under 23) is going to be played this year. BCCI is said to be on the lookout for talented young players for this tournament. It has also been said that BCCI has called these 20 players in this background.
These 20 players will be camped for three weeks at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. It is said that NCA chief VVL Laxman himself will train and guide these players. Arjun Tendulkar, who plays for Goa in domestic cricket, will also join the camp for cricket lessons. Among the 20 players selected by the BCCI, Saurashtra’s Chetan Sakaria deserves a prominent mention. Abhishek Sharma who plays for the Punjab team is included.
Along with Arjun, Mohit Redkar, who plays for Goa, is also a part of this camp. The names of Rajasthan’s Manav Suthar, Delhi team’s Harshit Rana and Divij Mehra are also included in the list. (BCCI has selected 20 young all-rounders for the camp at NCA, one of whom is Arjun Tendulkar.)
