ASHES 2023. Moeen Ali’s address cut from the second test! ‘This’ English bowler got a place in the team

The historic Ashes series between England and Australia is currently being played. In the first match of the series, Jaiman England had to accept defeat by 2 wickets. The second match between the two teams will begin on Wednesday (June 28) at the Lord’s Cricket Stadium. Earlier, there was a big change in England’s fleet.

England’s playing XI for the second Ashes 2023 match at Lord’s was announced on Tuesday (June 27), a day in advance. The major change in the team is that legendary England all-rounder Moeen Ali has been dropped. In his place, right-arm fast bowler Joshua Tongue was taken into the team. Moeen Ali injured his hand in the first Test match played at Edgbaston. As the all-rounder is yet to recover from the injury, Josh Tang was included in the squad.

Josh Tongue plays for Worcestershire in county cricket. He made his Test debut on 1 June 2023 against Ireland. He did not get a single wicket in the first innings of this match. But he took 5 wickets in the second innings. On the other hand, Moeen Ali pulled out of Test retirement to play Ashes 2023. But he will have to sit on the bench in the second match.
