On the other hand, if we talk about the all-time bowlers who have taken 5 wickets most times in an innings, Ashwin has reached the seventh position in the list. The record for taking 5 wickets in an innings of Test cricket is held by legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan. He has done this feat 67 times in his career. Also, Ashwin is the second Indian to join the top 7 in this list. Next to him is Indian legend Anil Kumble who has done this feat 35 times in Tests. Interestingly, Ashwin has also crossed the milestone of 700 wickets in international cricket by taking 5 wickets.
