Aussie legend says, “This time people will flock to IPL only for Dhoni”

Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni is now at the end of his career. He may be seen playing for the last time in the next season of Indian Premier League which is starting soon. He himself has given hints about this. At the same time, former Australian opener Matthew Hayden has said that people will flock to the IPL this year only for Dhoni.

Dhoni is currently only seen playing in the IPL. At the age of 40, he is only participating in the IPL. Three years ago, he broke into international cricket. So Hayden said people will flock to see him play for the last time this year.

“Dhoni is undoubtedly the biggest star. He will retire after IPL this year. Fortunately this year the entire IPL will be held across the country. We missed this for three years. So, wherever Dhoni goes this year, there will be huge crowds to watch him play for the last time.”

Dhoni had announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020. Since then, he has only been seen playing in the IPL. A few days ago he had stated that he would like to play his last match in Chennai. Dhoni has led Chennai Super Kings for 12 seasons. Chennai has managed to win the title four times. The last three seasons of the IPL were played in limited cities due to the Corona epidemic. However, this time all the teams will get to play seven home and seven away matches each. So Dhoni will be seen playing at other teams’ grounds as well.
