Australian players were shocked in Lord’s long room, MCC took drastic action

Australia won the Lord’s Test between England and Australia on the final day. The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has now taken action against the members of the team who have been harassing the Australian players.

After the end of the first session, both teams were heading towards the dressing room. There was a lot of anger among the England supporters towards the Australian players. Because even before that, their wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow was dismissed in dramatic fashion. Against this backdrop, when the players were returning to the dressing room, an argument broke out between the Australian players and the members present in the members’ area (long room) of Lord’s. Some members used some abusive language towards Australia players Usman Khawaja and David Warner. Some also clashed with Khawaja.

After this case, Cricket Australia has demanded the MCC to investigate the matter. He investigated the matter and took action against the three members who had misbehaved. Also, apologized to Cricket Australia and Australia’s players.

MCC said, ‘Going from the long room to the dressing room is a great tradition. Everyone is sorry for what happened.’
