Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja played their last international match against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2000. In this match, the Indian team had to accept defeat by Pakistan by 44 runs. About six months after the match ended, former South Africa captain Hansi Cronje made some revelations about match-fixing, in which the names of Azharuddin and Jadeja came forward.
