Commenting on the WTC Final, he said, “I like his aggression a lot. BCCI has wronged him and I don’t want to hear anything else. If he wanted to lead in ODIs, he had to carry out the captaincy with dignity.”
Speaking further, Langer said, “There is nothing I don’t like about Virat Kohli. His passion, his batting. He was a brilliant captain.”
The captaincy was withdrawn in December
Virat Kohli was stripped of the ODI captaincy in December 2021. Also, Rohit Sharma was entrusted with the captaincy. Leading the way in ODI cricket, Virat led India to 65 out of 95 matches with a brilliant winning percentage of 70.43.
