BCCI to spend on ‘Ya’ player even without central contract, RCB batsman to go to England for surgery
Ahead of the start of the IPL 2023 season, there was a bad news for Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB’s young batsman Rajat Patidar had to withdraw from the entire IPL season after suffering an injury. Meanwhile, new information about Patidar’s injury is coming to light. According to media reports, Patidar’s injury requires surgery and the BCCI will bear all the expenses incurred.
The star cricketer from Madhya Pradesh is currently suffering from a heel injury. Patidar is said to have injured his left heel, which will require surgery soon. According to Cricbuzz, BCCI will send Patidar to England for surgery. As such, BCCI only spends on players with whom they have an annual contract. However, there is no BCCI contract with Patidar, yet the board will bear all the expenses after his injury. BCCI is trying to ensure that Patidars get better treatment.
According to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, it is said that, “Unfortunately, Rajat Patidar has been ruled out of IPL 2023 due to a heel injury. We wish Rajat a speedy recovery. We are with him in this process.” Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar batted a storm for RCB in IPL 2022. In the eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants, Patidar scored an unbeaten 112 to take the team to the qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Rajat Patidar was undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for the past few days. He worked on his fitness under the watchful eye of the NCA staff.
