The final match of the World Test Championship between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) will be played at The Oval Stadium in England. After that, the Australian team has to play the Ashes series against their arch rivals England. This year the Ashes has been organized in England and Josh Hazlewood can present his penetrating bowling in this too. The 32-year-old fast bowler has been declared fit by Cricket Australia.

A Cricket Australia spokesperson said, “Jos Hazlewood felt pain after playing his last IPL match. He returned home last week. After a short break, he has started training last week. His workload is being increased in the wake of the WTC final and the Ashes series. He should be considered fit for the WTC and the Ashes.” According to media reports, after examining the fast bowler, it has been revealed that his injury is not serious.

Due to injury, Hazlewood could not even play in the first half of IPL 2023. This year, RCB spent Rs 7.75 crore on Hazlewood and retained him in the team. However, he could only play three matches for the team in the season and took three wickets. RCB needed a win against Gujarat Titans on Sunday (May 21) to reach the playoffs. Before this important match, Hazlewood decided to return home citing injury. As a result, RCB’s bowling attack looked weak in the match and they lost by 6 wickets.
