BIG BREAKING: Big West Indies cricketer suspended in fixing case, excitement in the cricket world

West Indies cricketer Devon Thomas has been charged with seven offenses under the Anti-Corruption Code by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Thomas has been suspended with immediate effect by the ICC after he was accused of corruption on behalf of Sri Lanka Cricket, the Emirates Cricket Board and the Caribbean Premier League.

The charges leveled against Thomas include fixing the results, conduct or other aspects of matches in the Lanka Premier League 2021, attempting to improperly influence affiliated players or engaging in controversial contracts. He has been charged under various sections including failure to disclose complete details of Lanka Premier League 2021, Abu Dhabi T10 2021 and CPL 2021.

Thomas, a West Indies wicketkeeper, made his Test debut against Australia in Adelaide in December 2022. He has so far played 21 ODIs, 12 T20Is and one Test for West Indies at international level.
Thomas will have 14 days from May 23, 2023 to respond to the allegations in the entire case.
