While the Indian Premier League 2023 is underway, there is a big news about the World Test Championship 2023. Indian batsman KL Rahul has been ruled out of the WTC final. This information has been given by the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI through its official social media account. Interestingly, BCCI has also named Rahul’s replacement player.

KL Rahul’s exit from the WTC final has come as a shock to the Indian team. However, a young player Ishan Kishan has got a chance to replace Rahul in the Indian team. BCCI tweeted, “KL Rahul has been ruled out of the WTC final against Australia. Ishan Kishan has got a chance to replace him in the team.”

In addition, the BCCI has also mentioned the names of the reserved players in the tweet. BCCI added in a tweet that “Reserve players will include Rituraj Gaikwad, Mukesh Kumar and Suryakumar Yadav.”

Time will tell whether the Indian team will miss KL Rahul in the tournament due to his exit. However, with wicketkeeper batsman Ishan getting a chance to replace him, it will be important to see how he performs in the tournament if he gets a chance to play.
