Big hearted Natarajan! Academy started for village players, inaugurated by Karthik

Indian cricket team’s fast bowler T Natarajan has been out of the Indian cricket team for almost two years. He was seen playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the recent IPL. After that, now back in his hometown, he embodied his ambitious decision to start a cricket academy. On Friday (June 23), he inaugurated the academy in his hometown at the hands of senior Indian player Dinesh Kartiki.

Last year, Nataraj had announced that he would start a cricket academy in his village. His village is Chinappapatti in Salem district of Tamil Nadu. After getting an opportunity to play for the Indian team, he decided to build this ground to benefit the young players of his village.

Started as Natarajan Cricket Club, this ground will have four pitches. Also, a canteen and 100 spectators have been arranged on this ground. Natarajan had told his villagers on June 10 that the ground would be inaugurated on June 23. Along with Karthik, Tamil Nadu cricketers Washington Sundar and Sai Kishore were present at the inauguration ceremony. Sai Kishore gave information about this by posting on social media.

Natarajan started his cricket career playing tennis ball cricket. After a brilliant performance in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, he got an opportunity to play in the IPL. After a good performance in the IPL, he also got a place in the Indian team. He has played one Test, two ODIs and four T20Is for India so far.
