According to a reputed cricket website, the World Cup will begin on October 5 with England vs New Zealand. Also, the final match of the tournament will be played on November 19.

According to a cricket website, it has been confirmed that Pakistan has agreed to tour India in the World Cup. However, there are also reports that the Pakistan team does not want to play the league match in Ahmedabad. As per the tentative schedule, Pakistan team will play their matches in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.

Mohali-Nagpur matches will not be played
Apart from Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Indore, Dharamshala, Guwahati, Rajkot, Raipur and Mumbai will get a chance to host ODI World Cup 2023. Also, Mohali and Nagpur have been dropped from the list of host cities. The Wankhede Stadium, which hosted the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup, could host one final semi-final this time.

Eight teams have qualified
A total of 10 teams will play in the World Cup this time and 48 matches will be played among them. Among the 10 teams, India, England, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa have already entered the tournament. Also, now the remaining 2 teams will be decided through the Qualifier tournament to be held in June-July in Zimbabwe. The qualifiers include West Indies, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland, Nepal, Oman, Scotland, United Arab Emirates and hosts Zimbabwe.

Like the 2019 World Cup, this time too the matches will be played in round-robin format. Where each team will play one time against the opposing team. That means after the end of the league round, all the teams will have played 9 matches each. The top 4 teams in the league round will face each other in the semi-finals.
