Big news! SA T20 final postponed with just hours to go

The SA T20 League, which was organized for the first time by the South Africa Cricket Board, is now in its final stage. The final match of the tournament was to be played on Saturday (February 11). However, now this match has been postponed by 24 hours by the organizers. Tournament Director Graeme Smith announced this.

In this tournament, which was started on the lines of IPL, six teams were bought by the IPL team owners. After almost a month of league stage, Pearl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Jo’burg Super Kings entered the semi-finals. Pretoria and Eastern Cape then made it to the finals. The final between the two teams was scheduled to be played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg (February 11).

While preparations for the final were underway, the organizers announced that the final match had been postponed by a day. It has been raining continuously in Johannesburg since Wednesday. The final match will be played on February 12 as the ground is still damp and the pitch is not ready enough to play. It has been said in this statement.

After the sudden postponement of the match, tournament director Smith said,

“We have discussed with the match officials, the team and the groundsmen and decided to play the match on the next day. Because we want to witness a memorable final in this first-ever tournament.”

All aspects of this tournament are similar to IPL. As in IPL, the auction of six teams and players was held for the tournament. A few days ago, Smith announced that the tournament was a success financially and in terms of popularity.
