Big news! Women’s Premier League First Season Schedule Announced, Know in One Click

The Women’s Premier League 2023 auction was held in Mumbai on Monday (February 13). Immediately after this, on Tuesday, the BCCI announced the schedule for the first season of the Women’s Premier League. This tournament will start from March 4 and the final match of the tournament will be played on March 26. A total of 22 matches will be played in this tournament between 5 teams. All the matches in the tournament will be played by Mumbai’s D. Y. Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium will be played on two grounds. 11 matches each will be played at both the grounds.

The first match of this tournament will be played on March 4 between Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Titans. This match d. Y. Patil will be held at the stadium. All teams will play 2 matches each against each other in this tournament.

What time will the matches start?
Womens Premier League 2023 starts at 3.30pm and 7.30pm. The double header (two matches in one day) will take place on March 5. The first match of the day will be between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Capitals. Also, the second match will be played between UP Warriors vs Gujarat Giants. A total of 4 double header matches will be played in the tournament.

Eliminators and Finals
A total of 20 league matches will be played in 23 days. The final league match of the tournament will be played on 21st March between UP Warriors vs Delhi Capitals. Additionally an eliminator and final match will be played. Eliminator matches on March 24 d. Y. Patil Stadium, while the final of the tournament will be played at the Brabourne Stadium on March 26.

A total of five teams in the tournament
There are total 5 teams in the tournament. They include Mumbai Indians, UP Warriors, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants.

A total of 87 players were bid on
The auction for the Women’s Premier League was held on February 13. A total of 87 players were bid in this. The Bangalore team had added Indian team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana to their squad with the highest bid of Rs 3.40 crore. Also, Mumbai Indians took in all-rounder Nat Syver for Rs 3.20 crore.
