Big news! Worries of Corona cleared in WTC finals, players who can play despite being positive?

There is good news coming out of the World Test Championship 2023. BCCI likely to change Covid-19 rules As per BCCI’s current Covid-19 policy, infected players have to spend 5 days in isolation. However, it is being said that BCCI will change this rule on the lines of ICC. BCCI may be allowed by ICC to play despite corona positive players.

The ICC had changed its rules in the Commonwealth Games. He had allowed the players to play despite being Corona positive. Also, talking about the ongoing IPL 2023 (IPL 2023) tournament, as per BCCI rules, an infected player will have to self-isolate for 7 days. In the last test against England, captain Rohit Sharma could not be a part of the team due to Corona. However, now asymptomatic infected players will be able to play on the field. It is being said that this change will be done by BCCI.

A BCCI official told the media, “We are discussing whether we should change the Corona rule for the final of the World Test Championship. Also, ICC guidelines should be followed on this. We have the old corona rules for IPL 2023, so that if the corona spreads, the risk of infection can be reduced. However, all players and officials are vaccinated with a booster dose. So it won’t hurt.”

What does the ICC say?
The ICC had removed all necessary biosecurity protocols for the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia. Also, it was said that the team doctor will take necessary steps in this regard. The doctor will decide that a player of the team will only take the field if he is fit to play. If not able to play, he has to be isolated.

What is BCCI rule?
