The England and Wales Cricket Board has yet to give Liam Livingstone a fitness certificate after recovering from a knee injury sustained in December. The second match of the tournament will be played between Punjab Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders on April 1. Punjab’s campaign in the tournament will start from this match.

In fact, Livingstone was injured on his Test debut against Pakistan in December. He has not played competitive cricket since then. The 29-year-old Livingstone also suffered an ankle injury while playing in ‘The Hundred’ tournament at home last year.
According to media reports, Livingstone has been ruled out of the first match. Because, he is being scanned by the ECB to determine his fitness status. In that case, he is likely to be available for the second match.
Livingstone posted a video on his social media account on Wednesday (March 29) in which he was seen bowling in the nets. Livingstone performed best in the IPL last season. He scored 437 runs in 14 matches at an average of 36.42. Meanwhile his strike rate was 182.08. Livingstone is known for hitting big shots. He has played 12 ODIs and 29 T20Is for England. In the previous season, he also took 6 wickets with spin bowling.
