BREAKING: Asia Cup dates announced, India-Pak Mahasagram to be held three times?
The Asia Cup, which has been a topic of discussion for the past several days, has finally come to fruition. This tournament will now be jointly organized by Sri Lanka and Pakistan, and the tournament will start on August 31.
As per the scheduled schedule, Pakistan was going to host the Asia Cup. However, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will host the Asia Cup due to opposition from India first and then other countries. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal will participate in this Asia Cup. Thirteen matches will be played in the tournament, four matches will be played in Pakistan.
In the league round, two groups of three teams each will be divided. The top two teams from each group will then qualify for the Super Four. After that, two teams will qualify for the final round. The final of the tournament will be played on September 17.
Looking at the format of the tournament, there is a possibility that India and Pakistan will clash three times. After this Asia Cup, ODI World Cup will be played in India.
