BREAKING: England all-rounder ‘U-turn’ from retirement, to make comeback in Ashes after two years

Moeen Ali, who is set to retire from Test cricket at the end of summer 2021, has reversed his decision after discussions with Test captain Ben Stokes, Test head coach Brendon McCullum and England men’s managing director of cricket Rob Key. The England and Wales Cricket Board has given information about this.

Moeen Ali has been named in England’s men’s Test squad for the first two Ashes Test matches against Australia starting Friday (June 16) at Edgbaston. He replaces Somerset’s Jack Leach. Tase was withdrawn from the 16-man squad due to a persistent lower back injury. As a result, he was dropped from the five-match Ashes Test series.
