BREAKING: IPL 2023 starts from March 31, opening match between CSK and Gujarat

The schedule of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL, the world’s biggest professional T20 league, has been announced recently. The inaugural match of IPL 2023 will be played between defending champions Gujarat Titans against Chennai Super Kings on March 31. This match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Along with this, the final match will also be played at the same ground on May 28. The official announcement was made from IPL’s social media handle.

Defending champions Gujarat Titans got the honor of playing the first match of IPL 2023 at their home ground. Interestingly, every team will be seen playing at their home ground after almost three years. The entire 2020 season was played in the United Arab Emirates due to the Corona epidemic. The 2021 season was played between India and UAE and the 2022 season was played entirely in Mumbai. At this time, each team will play seven matches at home and seven matches at other teams’ ground.

Like last year, this year also ten teams have been divided into two groups. However, this time teams from the same group will be seen playing each other only once. So, they will be able to play two matches each against the teams of the other group. A total of 74 matches will be played in this almost two-month tournament.
