The Indian team is currently on a tour of the West Indies. After playing the Test and ODI series, India have to play a five-match T20I series against the West Indies. The squad for the series was announced on Wednesday (July 5). Hardik Pandya is the captain of this team. Regular captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested.
The Indian team has a total of 10 matches to play in the West Indies tour. Five of these matches will be T20 series, which will start from August 3. India’s youth team will play in this series under the leadership of Hardik Pandya. Sanju Samson has also been selected for the T20 series after the ODI series against West Indies. Suryakumar Yadav will be seen performing the duties of the vice-captain in this series. Mukesh Kumar may get a chance to make his debut for India. Yashasvi Jayaswas and Tilak Verma have been included in India’s T20 squad for the first time.
