Buttler’s most embarrassing record in IPL history, ‘Zero’ in entire season

The 66th match of Indian Premier League 2023 was played between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals on Friday (May 18). Batting first, Punjab scored 187 for 5. In reply, Rajasthan reached the target for the loss of 6 wickets in 19.4 overs. Although Rajasthan won the match, their most experienced batsman Jos Buttler failed to open his account once again. Along with that, he accumulated the most embarrassing record in IPL history.

Chasing a big challenge for victory, Rajasthan were hoping for a good start. However, in the second over, Rabada reduced Butler to zero. Buttler failed to open the account for the third consecutive match. He was dismissed five times throughout the season. He became the batsman with most number of wickets in a single IPL season.
