Captain Rana delighted with a resounding win after four defeats; Said, ‘We knew…’

The 36th match of IPL 2023 was played on Wednesday (April 26) between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata won the match by 21 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It was the third win of the season. After losing four matches in a row, captain Nitish Rana was overjoyed with the win over Bangalore. This was Kolkata’s second win over Bangalore. Earlier, Kolkata had won by 81 runs in the 9th match of IPL as well. This time he also told the secret of victory.

What did Nitish Rana say?
Nitish Rana (Nitish Rana) was making a kind of statement during the coin toss in the last few matches. He admitted it himself, saying, “In the last three-four matches, I was saying this at the toss that if we play together, the result will be in our favour. You need a lot of heroes in the dressing room for a win like that.”

Rana scored a blistering 48 off 21 balls to take Kolkata to 200 runs. It included 3 fours and 4 sixes. He hoped for a team comeback. He said, “We knew we would be able to make a comeback. In poor standing in the scoreboard
Nitish attributed the victory to good bowling. He said, “It’s not like the ball was spinning too much. Our bowling is improving. Wherever I ask Suyesh to bowl, he does it. He always says that he will do his job. We just tell him, don’t look at the batsman playing in front of you, just focus on your bowling.”

However, even after this victory, Kolkata is not in a good position in the points table. Out of the 8 matches played so far, Kolkata have won 3 matches and lost the remaining 5 matches. Kolkata’s net run rate is -0.027. This is much better than Mumbai Indians net run rate (-0.620). Kolkata is currently ranked seventh in the points table.
