Come on! Mumbai Indians storm ready for IPL, promise to play full season

The sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL, the world’s largest professional T20 league, is starting at the end of March. A good news came for Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in IPL history, a month before the start of IPL. England fast bowler Jofra Archer, who missed the entire season last year due to injury, will be present for the entire season. He himself informed about this.

Mumbai also bought Jofra Archer who was injured in the last IPL season. Although Archer was not going to play in the last IPL season, Mumbai Indians signed him in the mega auction for Rs 8 crore. Mumbai had placed this bid on him thinking about the future. Now that Archer is fully fit, he is expected to play the entire IPL season. The England and Wales Cricket Board has also allowed him, only the Mumbai franchise will have to manage his workload.

After nearly two years away from cricket, he made his international comeback in January in the ODI series against South Africa. Also, he was also part of the MI Cape Town team owned by Mumbai Indians in the SA T20 League. With Archer available for Mumbai for the entire season, Mumbai’s strength will increase. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, he will lead Mumbai’s fast bowling.

Archer has taken 46 wickets in 35 matches so far in his IPL career. Earlier he represented Rajasthan Royals for three seasons. In his international career, Archer has taken 42 wickets in 13 Test matches. He has played 20 matches in ODI and 12 matches in T20 international cricket. He has 39 and 14 wickets to his name in ODI and T20 International cricket respectively.
