This was the fourth best partnership (55 runs) for the ninth wicket in Test history. India’s VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma hold the record for the best partnership for this number. Both of them scored 81 runs against Australia in Mohali Test in 2010. Duja-Benjamin duo of West Indies scored 61 runs against Pakistan in 1988. Coulter and Hazlitt of Australia added 55 runs for the ninth wicket against England in 1907.
