“Delhi should have Virat in their team”, the veteran said emotionally

The second match of the 16th season of IPL was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals on Saturday (May 6). Delhi won the Vijayshri by 7 wickets in this match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. But during this match, Kevin Pietersen, the former captain of England and currently performing his role as a commentator, made a different demand.

Former RCB captain and senior batsman Virat Kohli was playing at his home ground i.e. Delhi in this match. Virat took his cricket lessons at the former Feroze Shah Kot i.e. the current Arun Jaitley Stadium. Virat Kohli’s entire family and childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma were also present at the stadium for this match. While practicing before the start of the match, Virat noticed his coach Sharma on the field. He went to them and fell at their feet. Pietersen was very impressed by this action of Virat. In a tweet, he wrote,

“The picture of Virat saluting his childhood coaches like this is really cool. I am thinking that Delhi should include him in their team. Make a big transfer and give him a chance to play at his home ground next season. Messi, Ronaldo Beckham advanced their careers in football. What do you think?’

Virat performed well at his home ground. He scored 54 runs off 45 balls. However, even after that, RCB had to lose in this match.
