Talking to the media, she said, “If I say I am not worried or angry, then I am not human. When you don’t see the fruits of your labor, it is very difficult. I hope there is some reason behind this, which I am not aware of. I have only hard work and I believe in hard work. As long as I am mentally and physically fit, I want to work hard.”

Shikha Pandey got emotional while talking to former Indian women’s team coach WV Raman. She said, “When I was kicked out, I thought it would be best to walk away from cricket. After that I thought, this is an emotional time and I need to give myself more time. You thought I still had cricket left in me. Also, I should play as long as I am enjoying my game. I’m frustrated now, but the situation I’ve been put in is beyond my control. Whatever decision I take to get out of here is entirely in my hands.”

Was part of the team in the World Cup
Interestingly, he was part of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup tournament played in South Africa. However, the 34-year-old Shikha was released from the central contract after the tournament.
