Despite being the man of the match, action was taken against Ashwin! ‘That’ deed against CSK

Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday (April 12). Rajasthan won this match by 3 runs. Rajasthan’s veteran player Ravichandran Ashwin has been a brilliant all-rounder for Rajasthan. He was also awarded the Man of the Match award. However, action has now been taken against him by the IPL Governing Council.

Ashwin’s performance in this match was strong. He scored 30 runs off 22 balls while batting at number five in this match. After that two important wickets were also picked up coming to the bowling. He was awarded the man of the match award for this performance. However, Ashwin, who is known for his tough nature, expressed his displeasure at one of the umpires’ decisions.

In this match, the field umpire decided to change the ball without discussing with the Rajasthan players. Ashwin expressed his displeasure over this decision. Action was taken against him in this case. Ashwin violated Article 2.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct. So 25 percent of his match fee was deducted. As Ashwin admitted his mistake, further action against him was avoided.

Coming to the match, CSK won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals managed to score 175 for 8 in 20 overs. In reply, CSK scored 172 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. Dhoni once again played an important knock for the team. He scored an unbeaten 32 off 17 balls at a strike rate of 188.23. Earlier, Rajasthan opener Jos Buttler also shone in this match. Buttler scored 52 runs off 36 balls.
