Dhoni battling knee injury, ‘Ha’ pacer out for two weeks: Stephen Fleming

Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni managed to score important runs against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday (April 12). But the team could not win. After losing the match, CSK head coach Stephen Pleming informed that Dhoni has injured his knee. Earlier, one player after another of CSK has been suffering from injuries. Meanwhile, the injury issue of both is increasing the headache of the fans.

South African fast bowler Sisanda Magala is also out of action for CSK for the next two weeks due to injury. Stephen Fleming spoke to the media after conceding a 3-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday. At this time, Fleming gave information about Dhoni’s injury. Fleming said, “He (Dhoni) is struggling with a knee injury. You may have seen his movement, he was suffering. His fitness is definitely that of a professional athlete. He starts training a few months before the IPL starts. He practiced in the nets in Ranchi. He started his practice in Chennai before the start of the season.”

Although Dhoni is injured, Fleming is confident that Dhoni will recover soon and continue to lead the team. “He’s working his way back into form and you can see he’s playing very well.” CSK fast bowler Sisanda Magala could only bowl two overs in Wednesday’s match. He then left the field due to injury. Fleming said, “The team will never again have the services of a player. We are already suffering from player injuries. So I wish these Sanghas don’t grow any further.”

Meanwhile, in the current IPL season, CHSK all-rounder Ben Stokes has also been unable to play in the last two matches due to injury. According to the coaches, Stokes is trying to recover from the injury. On the other hand, fast bowler Deepak Chahar is also on the verge of being ruled out for the current IPL season due to injury.
