“Dhoni should play in our league”, offers leading foreign captain in IPL

The Indian Premier League 2023 will begin at the end of next month i.e. from 31st March. Even before the start of this tournament, big news is coming out. The franchise team Sunrisers Hyderabad has announced their captain for the IPL 2023 tournament. Hyderabad have handed over the captaincy to explosive South African player Aiden Markram. After that, now Markram has said that he would like to see former India captain MS Dhoni play in the SA T20 league.

Last year Hyderabad was led by Kane Williamson. However, the team failed to reach the playoffs. After that, there was a lot of discussion about who will be the captain for this season. Eventually, the leadership of the team was handed over to Markram.

Markram recently gave an interview to a news channel. At that time he praised former India captain MS Dhoni. Also, said that he would like to see Dhoni play in SA T20 league in future. he said,

“MS Dhoni is a veteran cricketer, who has a wealth of knowledge and experience. I would love to see him play in the SA T20 league. If Indian players still play in this league with him, it will benefit the young players in South Africa.”

The first season of the SA T20 League was played in South Africa recently. In this very first season, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape team led by Markram won. The league featured six teams owned by the same IPL franchise. This included the team owners of Chennai, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Delhi.
