Dhoni also holds the record for the fastest stumping (in wicket) in international cricket. Dhoni did this feat while playing against West Indies in 2018. India scored 377 runs in the fourth match of the ODI series between India and West Indies. On the last ball of the 28th over of West Indies’ innings chasing this challenge, Dhoni dismissed Keemo Paul in just 0.08 seconds. Ravindra Jadeja was bowling this over this time. As soon as Jadeja bowled, Dhoni blew the bells. Thus, Dhoni held the record for most stumpings in cricket history.
3. Most stumpings in international cricket (195)
Dhoni’s list of unbroken records also includes the record for most stumpings (in wickets) in international cricket at third place. Dhoni has shown the batsmen the way to the tent by stumping the highest total of 195 times in 538 matches in Test, ODI and T20 cricket types in international cricket. Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara is second in this list with 139 stumpings to his name.
4. Fastest player to reach No. 1 ODI ranking (42 innings)
Another record is added to Dhoni’s list of unbroken records. That record is the fastest to reach the top spot in the ICC ODI rankings. Dhoni had created a record of winning the top spot in the ODI ranking in just 42 innings. He became the fastest player in cricket history to achieve this feat.
5. Most international appearances as captain (332)
Popularly known as ‘Mahi’, Dhoni also holds the record for most international matches played as a captain. Dhoni has so far played 332 matches as a captain in all three forms of cricket. In this, he has led the team to victory in 178 matches, while the team had to face defeat in 120 matches. Also, 6 matches were drawn while the remaining 15 matches were drawn.
6. Most matches as captain in IPL (226)
Not only does Dhoni hold the record for playing most international matches as a captain, but Dhoni also holds the record for playing most matches as a captain in the IPL. Dhoni is counted among the best captains in IPL. He has led the Chennai Super Kings team to win the trophy 5 times under his leadership. Also, he has led the team to the runner-up position in 5 seasons. Dhoni has played a total of 226 matches in the IPL while leading Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants. Dhoni also holds the record for most sixes in the 20th over in IPL history. Dhoni is a very important player of CSK team. He has won many matches by batting stormily in the 20th over. Dhoni has hit more than 50 sixes in the 20th over in IPL history. He has a total of 59 sixes to his name. This time he faced a total of 297 balls.
8. Highest run scorer in 20th over of IPL (715 runs)

He has contributed immensely to the success of the Chennai Super Kings team as captain and wicket keeper throughout his IPL career.
Talking about Dhoni’s IPL career, he has scored 5082 runs at an average of 38.79 in 250 IPL matches.
