‘Don’t divide the country in the name of religion’, shopkeeper in Goa supports Pakistan team, people gave ‘this’ punishment

Shocking news is coming out from Goa. Supporting the Pakistan cricket team has become expensive for an individual. The man has made others kneel down and apologize for supporting Pakistan. Interestingly, this time he was also made to give slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. This case is from Kailangut in North Goa. The case came to the attention of others after a travel blogger shared the video of the man on his social media account along with his blog. Currently this video is going viral.

What is the real issue?
A travel blogger was shooting videos while walking around Calangute. When he reached a shop there, a match was going on between New Zealand vs Pakistan. The blogger asked the shopkeeper, “Who’s playing? Are you cheering for New Zealand?” To this the shopkeeper replied, “I am cheering for Pakistan.” After this, the blogger asked again, “Why are you supporting Pakistan?” To this question, the shopkeeper replied, “Because this is a Muslim area.” After this, people nearby said, “There is no Muslim street here.”

After this video went viral, a group of people approached the shopkeeper. One of them said, “This whole village is Kailangut. There is no Muslim street here. Do not divide the country on the basis of religion. The people then asked the person to kneel down and apologize to the citizens of the country.”

The shopkeeper held his ear and apologized
In the video, the shopkeeper can be seen kneeling down and apologizing by holding his ear. Meanwhile, he folds his hands and says, “This mistake will not happen again.” Then the people present there make him shout Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
