“Don’t play the final against Mumbai, Dad”, CSK’s coach has just taken a fright

Indian Premier League 2023 First Qualifier Match Chennai Super Kings Vs. Played for Gujarat Titans team. In this match held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Chennai put in an excellent team performance to win by 15 runs and enter the final. After that a statement made by Chennai’s bowling coach Dwayne Bravo has raised many eyebrows.

Chennai defeated the defending champions Gujarat by 15 runs in the first qualifier match at Chennai. With this, he entered the finals of the IPL for the tenth time. Speaking in an interview afterwards, Bravo said,

“We have done well and reached the finals. But to be honest we don’t want to face Mumbai Indians in the final. Because it’s very emotional for me.”

Bravo started his IPL career playing for Mumbai. However, he later made a big name for himself while playing for Chennai. After retiring last year, he has been appointed as Chennai’s bowling coach. On the other hand, Chennai’s performance against Mumbai in the finals has been poor, with Mumbai managing to win three of the four matches.

At the same time, Mumbai defeated Lucknow Supergiants by 81 runs in their eliminator match and stormed into Qualifier Two. Here they will face Gujarat Titans. The final match of the tournament will be played on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Chennai, who have already reached the final, will have a chance to win their fifth title. So, Mumbai is waiting for its sixth title and Gujarat for its second title.
