Election announcement of the wrestling federation! Voters and results to be held on ‘this’ date

The Wrestling Federation of India will see major changes in the coming days. In the next month i.e. in July on 6th, the election of the wrestling federation will be held. The result will also be announced on the same day after the voting. The agitation against BJP MP and ex-president of wrestling federation Brijbhushan Singh for the last few months is expected to calm down to some extent after this election.

For the last four-five months, Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have been protesting against the great wrestler Brijbhushan Singh (). On June 7, Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur had discussed with the wrestlers and requested them to stop the agitation till June 15. As stated by the sports minister, the wrestling federation elections were expected to be held on June 30. However, 21 days prior notice was required for the annual general meeting of the wrestling federation, which also delayed the election.
Mangalari (June 13) It was announced that the election for all the posts of the wrestling federation will be held on July 6. Former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Nayadish Mehsh Mittal has been appointed as Election Officer by Indian Olympic Association.

According to media reports, the date for filing election applications is June 23 and June 25 will be the last day to file applications. After which the application will be scrutinized on June 28. Applicant can withdraw his/her application between 28th June to 1st July. The list of candidates contesting the actual election will be announced on June 2.

Meanwhile, the only thing to be seen in the election will be whether a single person from Brijbhushan Singh’s family or relations gets the nomination or not. Because Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has promised the wrestlers that the government will not allow anyone from Brijbhushan’s family or relations to contest the election of the wrestling federation.
