England PM Rishi Sunak Says Favorite Indian Cricketer’s Name, Not Sachin-Dhoni, ‘Ha’ Player Favorite

Former Indian team legend and current head coach Rahul Dravid is counted among the best batsmen in the world. Dravid has created many towers of records in international cricket. Dravid’s popularity has spread not only in India but also outside India. Interestingly, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is also a fan of Dravid. He recently made a big splash about Dravid.

In fact, Rishi Sunak has said that his favorite cricketers include Rahul Dravid. Speaking at an event, Sunak was asked about the bounce bowling strategy of England vs Australia in the Lord’s Test. “Should one play bounce like Rahul Dravid?” said one person who questioned Sunak.

‘Rahul Dravid is one of my favorite players’
Answering this question, Rishi Sunak smiled and said, “Rahul Dravid is one of my favorite cricketers. I really like Rahul Dravid’s technique and prediction and personality.” After this, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak reminisced about the moment when he saw Sachin batting live for the first time.

He said, “It was the year 2008, I was in India at that time. The England team went back after the terrorist attack. I went to my friend’s wedding. Also, after this the England team came to India to play again. India vs England Test match was going to be played in Chennai. I was in Chennai at the time.”

‘Watching Sachin Tendulkar bat is a pleasant feeling’
Speaking further, he said, “Sachin Tendulkar played a brilliant innings in that Chennai Test. While our team had to lose, India won brilliantly. However, the experience of watching Sachin Tendulkar bat in that match was great. It was a great feeling to watch Sachin Tendulkar bat.”

He also said, “I grew up watching Robin Smith play. He used to play for Hampshire. Also I liked McCallum Marshall. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to watch these players play.”
