Earlier, Virat Kohli was also struggling to score an ODI century. However, he scored a brilliant century in the third ODI against Bangladesh at Chattogram on 10 December 2022. He scored 113 runs off 91 balls. This century came after 1116 days. Before that, Virat had scored an unbeaten 114 against the West Indies at Port of Spain on 14 August 2019.

It took 1021 days to score a T20 century
Virat first ended the drought of centuries in T20 cricket. He scored a century against Afghanistan in Dubai on 8 September 2022 while playing in the Asia Cup. This time, Virat had scored 122 runs in 61 balls. This included 6 sixes and 12 fours. Virat’s century came after 1021 days. It was his first T20 century.
