However, now for the first time, KL Rahul has broken his silence about being trolled.

What did Rahul say?
Rahul discussed this with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show. Rahul said, “This is something that sometimes affects me. It also affects many children. Whenever we players actually need support, people think they can say anything. Just look at the times that person is going through.”

After the World Cup 2022, Rahul has been repeatedly targeted on social media. Not only this, former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad also openly criticized his poor performance. Rahul has failed to score a century in any form of the game in 2022. He was subsequently removed from the vice-captaincy of ODI, T20 International and Test cricket.

It was a tough time for Rahul, but he admitted that he contributed 200 per cent. However, things did not go in his favor. He said, “None of us want to perform badly. This is our life. We do it all. Like I said, I don’t know anything other than cricket. That’s all I’m doing.”

Speaking further, Rahul said, “Why would anyone think that I am not serious about my game or working hard? Unfortunately the game has nothing to do with it. Like I said, you can work hard, just like I work hard. However, things were not going my way.”

Rahul has been ruled out of IPL 2023 and WTC Final due to thigh injury. He has also undergone a successful surgery. Rahul is now set for a long rehab at the NCA in Bangalore.
