Former Australian captain accuses BCCI, says, “You make pitches to your advantage”.

India from March 1 at Indore against The third Test in the Australian team is about to begin. India have taken a 2-0 lead in the series after defeating the visiting team in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. Australia will now look to make a comeback in the remaining two matches of the series. However, at the same time, former Australian captain Mark Taylor has made a controversial statement about Indian pitches.

The Australian team entered the series determined to win a series in India after a gap of 17 years. Former cricketers of Australia as well as other countries had said that only Australia has a chance to win this series. However, the Australian team looked weaker than India in the actual series. All the Australian batsmen literally knelt before the Indian bowlers. The Indian team won the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi in three days to retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy for the fourth time in a row.

Spinners get help on Indian pitches. Taking up the same issue, former Australian captain Mark Taylor said,

“In India pitches are made which are conducive to their game. Our players play in IPL but the pitches are different then. The team came to India with a positive attitude. However, it is equally important that you have the technique. The Australian team showed Harakiri in the second Test.”

The third match will be played at Indore. Australia need to win at least one match to maintain their lead. The last match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad. If the Indian team wins both the matches, the team will reach the first position in the world Test rankings. Also, the finals of the World Test Championship will also be contested.
