Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has expressed a different opinion about MS Dhoni’s retirement. Talking about Dhoni’s importance in the Chennai Super Kings team, Kaif said, ‘Captain Cool’ is no longer playing as a player, but as a mentor.

‘Dhoni teaches new players’
Speaking to Star Sports, Kaif said that Dhoni always teaches new players. Because, he wants every player to perform well under his guidance. Kaif said, “Mahi is no longer playing as a player, he is playing as a mentor. He selects the team and comes to the field. He doesn’t talk to older players, but teaches new players. He wants every player to perform well under his leadership. Because, it will make the work of the team easier.”

In fact, Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020 itself. However, even after almost 3 years of retirement, he is still playing in the IPL. Dhoni is seen leading Chennai this season. His team has performed brilliantly in the tournament so far. In the 10 matches played this season, Chennai have won 5 matches and lost 4 matches. One match has been drawn.
