Four strange rules that will appear in the IPL with ‘Impact Player’! The color of the season will increase

Just eight days are left for the start of the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the world’s biggest professional T20 league. All the teams have started preparations for this new season and foreign players have also started arriving in India. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is gearing up for the 16th season of IPL, and IPL 2023 will see some new rules.

The first match of IPL 2023 will be played on March 31. After a long gap of three years, this time the tournament will be played in all cities of India. In that regard, it is understood that BCCI and IPL Governing Council have taken some decisions to make the competition more colorful.

According to a leading cricket website,

The organizers of IPL may apply some different rules to the tournament this time. In this the captains may be allowed to announce their playing eleven after the toss. Such a rule was seen in the recent SA T20 League. After that, if the wicket-keeper or the fielder makes any movement that obstructs the batsman or disrupts the play before the ball is bowled, the ball will not be accepted. Or a penalty of five runs may be awarded on this ball. If the over is not completed within the stipulated time, only four fielders will be placed outside the 30 yard circle.

The organizers have already announced that the impact player rule will be introduced. In this the captain can name twelve players at the time of toss. The twelfth player shall be substituted by another player as and when required in the ongoing match. This rule will be applicable only for Indian players.
